About Us
Every journey I craft through Moments That Matter is uniquely tailored to each client. But one thing unites the families I work with: They believe there’s more to life than rushing through their daily routines. A lot more.
That’s why my goal is to give you more on your escape. More vibrancy. More fun. More immersion. More awe. More together time.
I grew up in landlocked Nebraska, where travel wasn’t really a part of my family’s routine. In fact, I wouldn’t see the ocean until I was in my ‘20’s!
The more I stayed put, however, the more my wanderlust grew. And I wasn’t the only one; my dad would always talk about the far-off destinations on his “someday” list. He’d rotate through his dream destinations on the computer screen saver—I still remember how the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea, dotted with Greek islands, would fill the screen.
But working six days a week on the overnight shift, often picking up overtime, to provide for us all delayed his travel dreams.
Delayed them, in fact, until it was too late. My dad passed away from cancer in 2020, still longing to see the world.
I vowed “someday” would come sooner for my own family.
Like myself, my husband didn’t travel much growing up—so we decided to prioritize travel for ourselves and our children. The wonderful trips we’ve taken with the kids have bonded us all like nothing else (it’s hard to foster bonds when everyone is distracted at home!). And the kid-free trips my husband and I have taken have allowed us to step out of our “parent” roles and reconnect with one another.
I believe every family deserves the same—and that’s why I started Moments That Matter by Elisha.
We’ll work together to create a travel experience that’s uniquely tailored to your family, full of surprising moments of discovery destined to turn into memories you’ll all cherish for a lifetime.
We took our kids to gorgeous Charleston, where we all fell in love with the cobblestone streets full of history—and my husband and daughter took a pirate-themed tour!
I designed a trip for my husband and our friends, which we all loved—this trip helped me realize my skill at creating a streamlined itinerary.
My husband and I honeymooned in Italy, and we used a travel advisor to plan it—so I’ve experienced firsthand the benefits of professional travel design!
